According to the Construction Products Directive 89/106/EEC the CE marking is compulsory for all European pole manufacturers! Lighting columns (steel or aluminum) must bear the “CE” label, attesting that these products are in conformity with the EN 40 standard, under the control of a third party organization authorized by the member states of the European Union (Notified European Body).
